Taryn Deck is a Campaign Manager at adMarketplace responsible for campaign execution and client success. We checked in with her about her experience at adMarketplace. Here’s what she has to say:
1. How is life at adMarketplace?
I recently moved to NYC from Boston for this opportunity at adMarketplace. Starting a new job in a new city can be a bit stressful and daunting, but the team has been extremely supportive. It’s been a pleasure working with such bright individuals and watching senior leadership roll up their sleeves and work right beside me. I also appreciate the management style here - enough autonomy to make my own decisions while having plenty of guidance whenever needed. Everyone at adMarketplace works really hard yet knows how to keep it fun.
2. What is your favorite thing about coming to work?
One of the reasons I joined adMarketplace was their in-office culture. I appreciate the ability to create deeper relationships, both personally and professionally with my colleagues. It’s much easier to learn the business coming in person than if I were remote. We’ve already done some socially distant outings; and I’ve had the lovely opportunity to bond with my teammates.
3. What advice would you give to a new employee?
There’s a lot to learn here. It’s fast-moving and never boring. Don’t be afraid to talk to people and ask for support when you need it. Try to network with as many people as you can within the organization. It is a collaborative space, the more people you know, the better it will be for you as a new employee.
5. What’s your go-to snack from the office kitchen?
Yogurt, cold-brew, and of course, the Halloween Candy that’s been out.
